BBC 100 women 2021
The report embodies the perspective of a little girl inspired by a newspaper article, curating a journal of clippings celebrating remarkable women. I gathered data through web scraping and enhanced it with background images designed in Canva. To add a "click next" functionality, I used Power Apps. While this feature isn’t visible in the "publish to web" version, it resembles the example below.

About Dataset:
The BBC 100 Women is an annual series that celebrates the achievements and stories of 100 influential and inspiring women from around the world. Launched in 2013, it aims to address the under-representation of women in the media and provide a platform for discussing issues that affect women globally. Each year, the list includes women from diverse fields such as politics, science, sports, and the arts. The series features interviews, debates, and reports on various topics, ranging from reproductive rights to climate change. This initiative not only celebrates the accomplishments of these women but also encourages discussions on how to improve the world and eliminate sexism.

Design Approach:
The entire report is inspired by the feeling of being a little girl who saw an article in the newspaper and created a journal filled with clippings. You can flip through it and draw inspiration from all these amazing women.
From a Power BI perspective, I gathered data by web scraping and incorporated background images to add extra embellishments. I created all the backgrounds using Canva.
I wanted to implement a "click next" functionality, so I used Power Apps to enable this feature. While it doesn’t show in the "publish to web" version, it will look something like what is depicted below.
